enum LockStatus

Control plane

enum LockStatus : u32

Where the session lock is, as the lock screen needs to draw it.

The lock is the compositor's, not the lock screen's: it begins when the compositor decides to lock, holds whatever the lock screen does — crashes included — and ends only when a password the compositor checked itself turns out to be right. The lock screen is told; it never decides.

Cases

checking = 1

An attempt is being checked. PAM takes its time on a wrong one, on purpose, so this can last a couple of seconds.

idl/lava.npidl

locked = 0

Waiting for a password.

idl/lava.npidl

rejected = 2

The last attempt was wrong. Still locked; type again.

idl/lava.npidl

unlocked = 3

The password was right. The surface is about to be destroyed, which is what ends the lock screen's process.
